ARak TWIN thin-bed heating mat for indoor use

  • Twin heating-cable design, heat is generated by forward and return conductors made from 7-strand wire.
  • Fully assembled, with 3 m PTC thermistor connection on one side only.
  • Both conductors are insulated with solid PTFE (Teflon®) plus a multi-overlapping polyester insulating layer and very dense protective copper braid, covered with an outer PVC sheath.
  • For optimum installation, the heating cable is stitched onto fibreglass mesh, ensuring even spacing and fixing.
  • By heating in both directions, the specific wattage per metre of heating conductor is distributed across both heating conductors, which ensures optimum heat distribution and longer service life, as the demand on each heating conductor is halved.
  • The heating mats can be adapted to any room geometry.
  • Can be supplied in sizes ranging from 0.5 m² to 10.0 m² and with outputs of 160 W/m2 or 200 W/m2
  • VDE certified in accordance with the latest pan-European standards DIN EN 60335-1/60335-2-96 and DIN EN 50366.

Similar design to TWIN, but with one heating conductor and 2 x 4 m fully assembled connection cables.
Can be supplied in sizes ranging from 0.75 m² to 15.0 m² (180 W/m²) and as project mats from 10.0 m² to
20.0 m² for temperature control of large areas (100 W/m²).

ARak LAMINATE thin-bed heating mat for indoor use

Specially developed for installation under laminate. This product does not have to be embedded in tile adhesive. Dry installation means it can be reused if required in another room or accommodation.

  • 100% dry installation system.
  • Very thin heating conductor, installed height incl. mesh max. 1.5 mm.
  • Fully assembled, with 2 x 4 m PTC thermistor connection.
  • Single-conductor heating cable with shielding. Heating cable made from 7-strand wire, FEP (Teflon®) heating- conductor insulation, spiral-wound copper braid, FEP (Teflon®) outer sheathing.
  • Ideal for renovations thanks to low installed height.
  • The heating mats can be adapted to any room geometry.
  • Can be supplied in sizes ranging from 0.75 m² to 10.0 m².

If the area to be heated is larger than 10 m², multiple heating elements can be connected to a single controller. One controller (16 Amperes) can control up to 23 m². If the area to be heated is larger than 23 m², either multiple controllers are used or a relay is inserted.
